Mike Foyle: Nueva promesa del Trance

Lo vengo siguiendo desde hace rato al señor, y la verdad concuerdo con lo que dice su biografia: NO DEFRAUDA. Tiene una calidad musical impresionante. Un gusto exquisito. Un genio. Al menos asi lo veo yo :D

Aca tienen su mas que interesante biografia...

The story began when Mike was just 5 years old and his parents introduced him to his first musical instrument, the violin, which he has continued to play up until the present day. It became clear that Mike was a natural musician and his talent was recognised at a very young age. He had joined a few local orchestras and was granted the honour of being the leader in them all.

It was later on in life that Mike became interested in the electronic side of music. At that stage he wasn’t particularly inspired or influenced by any current electronic artists, but was experimenting on his own and developing his own techniques and styles. He was eventually introduced to the trance scene by a friend and ever since then has been addicted to it. At college he studied music technology, which boosted his production to the next level, and by the time he had finished the course, he was finally producing music of a professional standard. He is now studying Music and Sound design at Demontfort University in Leicester, England.

The thing that Mike’s fans love about him is his diversity and enthusiasm when it comes to producing. He is not afraid to experiment and it is very unlikely that you will find 2 of his productions that sound similar. Armed with his classical background, Mike is able to combine complex and advanced musical theory with technology. He is renowned worldwide for his orchestral influences and emotional melodies as well as modern and original production.

Mike’s first release, “Space Guitar”, was picked up by progressive trance legend Markus Schulz, who then decided to sign it to “Electronic Elements”, his own imprint on Armin van Buuren’s label, “Armada”. Space Guitar has since gained huge support from almost every A-list DJ in the scene including Armin van Buuren, Agnelli and Nelson, Markus Schulz, Kyau vs Albert, Blank & Jones, Ben Lost and Perry O Neil. The track also appears on compilation albums including “Armin van Buuren – A State Of Trance 2005”, “Markus Schulz – Miami 2005” and “Trance Republic” mixed by Agnelli & Nelson. The same label quickly snapped up a follow-up: “For Your Eyes Only” was signed for an EP along with 2 new mixes of Space Guitar, and was set to be another successful release on Armada.

Since then Mike has gone on to sign 5 more tracks to some of the biggest labels in the scene. These include the hit “Love Theme Dusk”, a collaboration between Mike and the Signalrunners, featuring Dave Schonauer. The track has been signed to Armin’s own imprint on Armada, “Armind Recordings”. This is set to be one of the anthems of 2005. He also collaborated with Filo & Peri to produce “Luana” which will appear on “Paul van Dyk’s - The Politics of Dancing 2” and has already appeared on Paul van Dyk’s special Mixmag compilation CD. The track has also appeared on the “Trance Republic” compilation mixed by Darren Tate.

After his success with “Love Theme Dusk”, Mike began to attract interest from the world biggest DJ’s and producers including Matt Darey, who has recently signed Mike’s new track, “Shipwrecked” to his own label, and also plans to take him on as an artist project developing him further as a DJ and producer.

He has also appeared on a number of radio stations worldwide to do live guest mixes and interviews, and is currently ranked in the top 100 DJs in the UK. After winning a DJ competition at the beginning of 2005, Mike was invited to open a new event at Turnmills in London, and played along side Corderoy and Goldenscan. Corderoy were very impressed by Mike’s performance and so asked him to remix 2 of their tracks, as well as make a guest appearance on their show on DI FM. After the show, Mike was asked to become a resident at DI for the progressive channel, and his new show should be launching soon.

Pero no lo veo muuuuy prometedor a Myke, ya que no me parece material muuy fresco, le veo mas futuro a Elevation, el pendejo la tiene clara para mi! en fin...

Siempre es bueno escontrarse con un thread sobre trance en el foro... a pesar que aca muchos dicen llamarse "amantes del trance"....Q_Q!

Hace poco leí que el mes que viene va a sacar al mercado 2 nuevas producciones.

Nuuuu para nada man! en todo caso, si miras bien la historia de Foyle, veras que el "niño" firmo con unos cuantos sellos diferentes (su ultimo laburo lo hizo para el sello de Matt Darey), asi que eso te da la pauta de que no esta enteramente "cooptado" por las manos magicas de Armin Van Buuren...

En cuanto a su material...aca entramos en el exclusivo y etereo terreno de la opinion...Elevation es muuy bueno, pero Foyle le pone a sus temas una gama de sonidos y colores que ni Elevation ni unos cuantos mas le pueden siquiera poner...fijate bien como combina los sonidos don Foyle: se nota a la legua que tiene formacion clasica (y no es el unico de los jovenes dj´s de trance que la tiene...). Resumiendo: Foyle es uno de los dj´s de trance mas creativos que existe en el momento, por eso considere que merecia un thread.

Ahora, si queres podemos hablar de realidades, como John O´Callaghan, que la rompe y la rompe y sigue rompiendo ;) jejejejeje....

justamente x eso, su formacion musical me parece realmente excelente, pero no lo veo como novedad =P

muy melodico savlo hasta el final. Tiene muy buena tecnica, no escuche ninguna pifeada y el set fue muy bien llevado, y es uno de los mejores enganches que escuche de love theme dusk, el cual me acostumbre a escucharlo de introduccion...

Con respecto a la originalidad, eso lo veo un tanto jodido ahora... En mi opinion hay muchos temas clonados y alterados obviamente, es realmente muy dificil sacar alguna produccion que sea original. Por eso muchas veces dejo de cuestionar la originalidad de un tema y solo tomo en cuenta al artista como DJ, obviamente siendo lo mas objetivo posible, por darte un ejemplo simple el set de PVD @ politics of dancing 2. Muuuy original!

Niko.. lamento contradecirte , pero el tema que acabas de nombrar no tiene que ver con Mike Foyle.
Date cuenta que dice "press" , esto significa que el tema tiene soporte y es presentado por mike foyle , pero no nesesariamente es de él.
