presents -in its finest tradition- the best electronic music from tomorrow and today. This year, Europe?s biggest indoor dance event takes place on Saturday November 15th in Flanders Expo Gent, Belgium. An evening and night of partying along with 35,000 electronic music lovers, coming from al over the world.

In every way, is a melting pot of different people and colours. Techno music is the heartbeat of the festival, but there?s also a great attention for new trends & other genres. Again, the 5 different rooms will be packed with live acts and DJs, both upcoming talents and well known artists.

Underworld is this year?s uncontested headliner. They promise to make up big for cancelling previous edition. This Brittish dance duo is one of the biggest names in the dance-scene as we know it today. At Rock Werchter, they proved still being one of the best live acts in the genre. Co-headlining is Boys Noize, 2007?s revelation and only growing stronger ever since. Pioneer Richie Hawtin will also be present in Gent again, this time together with his M_nus colleagues Audion and Heartthrob for a special new project. More on this in the upcoming newsletters. From Germany and presenting their new album ?The Sun & The Neon Light? please welcome Booka Shade. Digitalism, from Germany as well, released their new mix album on Kitsuné and will demonstrate us their excellent mixing skills. likes to put new talents in the spotlights: Sebastian is the next big thing and plays alongside his Ed Banger label boss Busy P, while Crookers are today?s hottest remixers. Veteran Robert Hood, Umek and DJ Murphy handle the techno beats while the furious Brazilian Pet Duo are growing to become hard techno masters. Being regular guests, they will nevertheless visit for the first time with a live set.

2008, edition 13! On Saturday November 15th the beating heart of techno will once again attract 35,000 music lovers from various countries to a night of dance pleasure. Paying attention to techno in all its varieties (hard techno, minimal, Detroit?) and to pioneers such as Robert Hood or Richie Hawtin, but also to upcoming new talent like e.g. Dusty Kid. The festival also focuses on related genres such as electro and rave and pays plenty of attention to new evolutions (fidget house, the return to the rave sound of the nineties, the rise of France as a prominent dance country?). A ver si cortan la careteada y le ponen el nombre correcto a la fiesta, "I LOVE MINIMAL" todo bien pero la fiesta ya no es lo solía ser..

En tal caso deberia ser "I love minimal-techno" por que de los artistas que figuran casi ninguno pone minimal.
Y si se sabe que el espacio que antes ocupaba el techno fue perdiendo lugar ante este sub-estilo.
Pero, para que quejarse? asi fue el devenir de esta musica, ademas si queres techno artistas que lo hagan sigue habiendo.

claro tal cual, aparte la musica evoluciona y los artistas tambien, no podes estancarte en una misma linea durante 10 años porque no te va a escuchar nadie, la idea es hacer cosas nuevas e innovar y eso nunca tiene que estar mal visto.

Tan errado no esta Clubbing cuando hizo esa aclaración, además se da por sentando que cuando habla de minimal habla de minimal techno.

Y si esto es la evolución entonces aburre, yo no soporto mas de un warm up de minimal techno, a mí denmen techno detroit, hard techno o acid techno.

Por otro lado más que una evolución esto es una moda porque todos los géneros tienen estos días un lindo porcentaje de minimal en sus sets, los grandes del house, y otros que hoy en día tocan.

Que lindo seria un Evento grande con varios artistas q cueste $45 no? y encima los primeros 500 reciben un compilado. Que lejos estamos

Ok respeto tu opinion pero me parece que estas equivocado.... "YO no soporto mas de un warm up de minimal techno" me parece bien que no te guste, pero tus gustos no son lo de los miles de tipos que van a estas fiestas, podes estas en desacuerdo y decir que aburre pero siempre miralo desde tu posicion y mas todavia si la miramos desde afuera porque ninguno vive en belgica o en europa.
Para mi es parte del cambio y de la evolucion, asi como antes uno bailaba como loco al ritmo de technica salsa hoy se bailan y se disfrutan otras cosas, pero bueno en general uno le resiste al cambio y se quiere quedar con lo que ya conoce...

Pasa que hay diferentes artistas porque hay diferentes carpas. Pero no creo que Sebastian ande poniendo minimal :S. Hay de todo un poco. Igual, por 45 euros, que pienso que debe ser mas o menos lo mismo que aca la proporcion, es una re fiesta!. Donde se hace?
