CREAMFIELDS VS. SOUTH AMERICAN DJ CONFERENCE

Hola Gente, me gustaria saber si quieren opinar con cual de los dos eventos se quedarian para ir !!

Hello Buenos Aires. I am planning a trip to Argentina with few friends, and just found out about 2 big events that you have in November and december (Creamfields and South American Music Conference).

I live in New York, and heard about your great party scene. Which one of the 2 events do you recommend coming for? I preffer the SAMC very diverse line-up and the conference part similar to WMC in Miami, but Creamfields is a proven Global brand. Which party seems to be better organized, what is a better venues and which one is more popular and more indicative of the Argentina party scene?

I am sorry about writting this in English, but I don't speak much Spanish.

Creamfields and the SAMC are two different events with two different proposals. Personally I can't recommend u one, 'cause as I've said before, they are two different events and so it depends on you. The only thing that I can tell u is that Creamfields is more than a ''Global Brand''. Before choosing one of those events you should look up some information about the Djs of both events and then just go to the one that ‘‘satisfies your needs’’. If we have to talk about organization, I believe that both events are very well organized ‘cause they have to sustain their good reputation (leaving the line-ups aside, ‘cause you may like them or not). As regards the venues, well, it is said that the location for the Creamfields is not quite safe, but I don’t know, I think it’s not like that; you just have to take care of yourself as usual.

What do you mean about Creamfields not being a 'brand' only? They go in different places around the world (Spain, Poland, Czech republic, Chile, Brasil, Argentina, etc), and sell their brand image and create a party.

As for the music at each of the events, I think SAMC offers a great variety (from Techno, trance, house and progressive) from both international and South American DJs (I think Anderson Noise is great for example), while Creamfields is very progressive oriented. For me, SAMC is a much better line-up musically. but that is why I asked about the other factors - organization, location, production, and what people of Argentina think of both events and how are they viewed.

What I meant was that Creamfields is not JUST a brand, it goes way beyond being a brand, if u want to go the CF just because it is a world wide event then why do u ask for information?? What I mean is that you have to choose an event because of what it offers and not only because it is well-known, 'cause it may disappoint u...

NI locaaaaaa, sino mal lo recuerdo el año pasado estabamos devaluados y no pagamos eso y el line up no estaba tan malo..esta a ese pecio por el line up o porque ya a esta altura nos venden cualquier cosa?? Personally I've chosen the SAMC (much better line up).
Both events are different, so I think we can't compare them, though we should keep in mind that SAMC is more than just a party and this will be the first one here in Argentina.
If you want nothing but going dancing and having fun, go to Creamfields, but if you want more than that, then you should go to the South American Music Conference (the name tells us what is it about), where I think we'll have the oportunity to enjoy good music, learn something and know about other projects, artists and people who work behind all this, besides djs.
Check the websites, if you haven't done it yet. I think that would help you to make your decision.
Anyway, wherever you go while you stay in B.A., I hope you have a great time. :)

Primero, pienso que si te interesan ciertos djs que estan en ambos eventos, no veo porque uno tenga que decidir por uno solo. No es un superclasico, no es un River vs Boca... uno puede decidir ir a ambos eventos si el line up le piace.

A mi, LO UNICO que me interesa son los djs que participan en "X" evento. Si los djs que tocan no me interesan, no voy, asi de simple... (sea la Samc, sea Creamfields, o sea el evento que sea...). Para pasar un dia con amigos, salgo otro dia al cine...

Me llama la atencion como mitifican a este tipo de eventos (sobre todo en el caso de Creamfields). Es un evento mas. Quisas, a Groove Armada (live), a los Plump Djs, a Paul woolford, y a Rob Da Bank, entre otros djs interesantes... me hubiese gustado escucharlos en otro ambito... en otro lugar, si es posible mas chico y con la gente que realmente le interese. Pero bueh... no me queda otra....

Yo decidi por ambos... el line up de la SAMC, es grosso... Justin & Eddie Richards... dos de los djs que mas me gustan!...

Creo Fgirl que a lo que se refiere es que tiene que elegir uno de dos debido a un tema de costos. cual decidir .. la creamfield ya sabes como es, ya sabes que tan popular es y con que te vas a encontrar en ella. la Samc es algo nuevo.

Mira... yo respondi, segun mi opinion y decision sobre CREAMFIELDS VS. SOUTH AMERICAN DJ CONFERENCE... Nada mas queria resaltar que no se tome esto como si fuera una competencia.

Es obvio que si uno vive en el interior, o no pueda ir por X motivo a ambos eventos tenga que decidir por uno... pero sobre los gustos de djs y line ups no me voy a meter, eso queda en cada uno... Solo expuse mi opinion y lo que me interesa a mi.

Gente como odio que se peleen de esa forma en los foros se desvirtuan totalmente los temas...pero bue cada uno hace la de uno. Les comento que yo elegi la samc, primero porque fui a el personal fest los dos dias y no puedo ir a todos los eventos que quiera. Además elegi la samc y el personal como mis eventos del año porque creo que creamfields esta decayendo...lo unico que me intereso del line up fue groove, despues okenfold, lo mismo de siempre y los otros no me gusta tanto. Además que hace emmanuel hourvillere, dante en creamfields es un circo eso...bueno nos vemos y espero que nadie se sienta ofendido fuera de joda...cuidense y cada uno elegija la que quiere ir, somos libres,no?....saludos a todos

Thanks to the insightful comments. I decided to cheak out Argentina and and come for SAMC (the panel participants and topics alone look amazing, and the line-up is very diverse, and there is everything one would like to hear).
