Audion ?Billy Says Go? remix competition

Leading techno artist Matthew Dear aka Audion is offering fans a chance to remix one of the biggest techno tracks of 2008, Audion?s ?Billy Says Go? on Spectral Sound.

Two remix parts are available to download for free, and there?s also a premium bundle for sale for $3.99 containing all the parts to ?Billy Says Go?.

Participants are free to remix the track into whatever genre they like, and the top remixes will be listened to by Spectral Sound.

As usual, the Beatport and Beatportal community will have the chance to vote for the best submitted remixes by ?spinning? their favorites.

The Audion ?Billy Says Go? remix contest has three phases:

1. September 9th - September 16, 2008 - Download phase - Download the remix parts, and get remixing.

2. September 16th - September 30, 2008 - Upload/Submission phase - Upload your remix to Beatportal. During this phase the entries can be listened to, but not voted for. The remix parts will still be available to download during this phase.

3. September 30th - October 14, 2008 - Voting phase - The public votes for their favorite remixes by ?spinning? them.

After a period of deliberation, the winners will be announced on October 30th, 2008.

The grand prize winner will receive a Native Instruments Traktor Scratch, a $100 Beatport gift card, and a Beatport gift bag full of Beatport goods.

Si la verdad, que estupidez. La gracia de un remix contest es que cualquier persona del planeta tenga la posibilidad de hacerlo.

Saben la cantidad de remixes que deben recibir en estas competencias? Hoy dia no hace falta ser productor profesional para hacer un remix. Bueno o malo cualquiera puede hacerlo. Cobrar un par de mangos por los samples les sirve de filtro para que solamente aquellos realmente interesados y que saben que tienen posibilidades participen.

Por otro lado, Beatport no necesita regalar nada para sumar seguidores, lo que quieren es facturar.
