Ayuda con Korg EA-1

Que tal, abro este tema porque si bien he encontrado bastante data próxima, aun no consigo resolver un problema...

Paso a contarles:
Un amigo compró hace poco un Korg EA-1, con el afán de experimentar con nuevos sonidos. Si bien el sinte es sencillo tiene mucha personalidad y hemos podido sacar texturas y bases interesantes bastante rápido.

Lo que aún no podemos resolver es cómo procesar señales de audio externas, y nos inquieta bastante esta posibilidad, ya que los filtros son muy buenos... ansiamos con poder meter guitarras, teclas o instrumentación desde alguna computadora.

He leído en varios posts que SE PUEDE, pero no logramos entender cómo... entramos por el jack de audio externo y cambiamos los seteos, pero no sucede nada. La unidad esta NUEVA y todos los in/outs funcionan perfecto, asi que descarto posibles fallas... Algo estaremos haciendo mal...

Dice esto:

"Connecting various sources to the audio input
Let's try connecting various types of audio device (radio,
or MD or CD player) or tone generator to the audio input
jack.
Try out various types of sounds or music. Depending on
the content, you may discover unexpectedly interesting
results.

1. Connect an audio device etc. to the audio input of the
EA-1. The input jack is monaural, so you may need to
use a stereo-mono adapter plug, depending on the device
you are connecting.
2. Adjust the output level of the connected device so that
the peak LED lights only at the maximum levels. At this
time you can turn on the Audio In Thru key (the key
will light) to hear the input sound.
3. Select the pattern or song whose volume you wish to
adjust, press the OSC1 key to select Audio In, and begin playback.
4. Press the mode key to enter Global mode.
5. Use the cursor [
][] keys to set the parameter select LED to Input Gain.
6. Rotate the dial to adjust the input volume to create a balance with the volume of the
other part.
7. Move the knobs and keys of the Synthesizer section to apply filtering or effects to the
input signal.
If you wish to use the audio input for the OSC1, you must turn the Audio In Thru key
off (key is dark).
Line-level input is recommended for the audio input. It is not possible to directly
connect a mic or turntable etc.
If the Input Gain setting is too high, the sound may be distorted."

Entiendo que si no le das play o no tocas nada, no va a sonar, porque el OSC1 usa el audio como un oscilador mas, o sea, que no esta sonando siempre, solo si "presionan una tecla" y se dispara la envolvente, ¿se entiende?
