Ducking is often used when doing voiceovers. It allows background music to automatically be turned down
whenever a external source, such as an announcer’s voice, begins to speak. You can also use ducking to
have one instrument push the other out of the way, such as the bass guitar ducking every time the kick
drum hits.
To make the compressor into a ducker, plug the source into the inputs and plug the trigger into the
sidechain. The Sidechain return (the ring connection) isn’t used in this example. In the example below,
the sound of a radio announcer’s voice will automatically turn the music down when he speaks and it will
slowly fade back in after he stops:
Alguien me podria explicar como lograr este efecto con soft como sony o waves. Por ejemplo el bajo con el kick.

A ver tendrias que usar el TC NATIVE BUNDLE.
Poner en el canal de la voz el efecto "SIDECHAIN" y en el resto de la pista, el TC COMPRESSOR DE ESSER, ponerle un ratio y el threshold tambien, ataque al minimo y el release en unos 1000 o mas, para que no sea tan brusco cuando lo largues, y setea el KEY INPUT con el numero que le asignaste al sidechain, por default es el 1.
El waves tiene tambien SIDECHAIN pero no lo he visto.
Y sino si tenes una mesa con compresion o con cualquier compresor lo podes hacer.

sorry me morfe : el ratio y el threshold bien alto, anda configurandolo según lo que quieras hacerlo sonar.. pero asi funciona el duking.
Tambien se puede usar para jugar con el groove del kick el bajo y las guitarras.
