It seemed that all the odds were against me. I left Rio after DJ'ing on a boat on Friday night, arrived at the airport only to hear that my flight to Buenos Aires had been cancelled. The airline were on strike!! A replacement flight was found and we eventually took off for Buenos Aires. Fifteen minutes prior to landing in to Buenos Aires we were told that the plane could not land due to fog - we were diverted to Puerto Alegra. After an hour and a half of waiting on the tarmac in Puerto Alegra we were told that Buenos Aires airport was closed for the night and could not be reopened. From there I looked into hiring a car and driving myself to Buenos Aires - after an eight hour drive I would have arrived at 10am. I had to throw the towel in and accept that there was nothing else that could be done.
I hope to arrange another date in Buenos Aires in the next few months and look forward to seeing you then!!
