A story posted on the UK MTV website mtv.co.uk claims that 'Gorillaz and their DJ Sound System' will be giving a performance at the MTV Send Off Party at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London, UK on 23rd October. The event is invite and competition winners only. Check out the story on MTV.co.uk here.

UPDATE 15/10/07: A source close to the band has confirmed to Gorillaz-Unofficial.com that only the 'Gorillaz Soundsystem' will be appearing at this party, not Gorillaz themselves, however, it should be a fun night!.

Gorillaz Sound System
Apparently, a group called "Gorillaz Sound System" is an audio-visual party band. The first known time they played was during an MTV Send Off Party at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London, UK on 23 October 2007. The story on MTV.co.uk said:

? Our favourite MTV presenter Emma Griffith will be hosting the knees up with several DJs and live bands, including a performance from the multi-million selling Gorillaz and their DJ Sound System ? but the best thing is you and your mates can be there too![43] ?

Their second known performance will be at the UK musical festival Creamfields on 23 August and 24th of August, 2008. This is the review of what they will do according to the official Creamfields website:
