BIO
2001 was the year in which Lucas Abadi moves back to Buenos Aires, the city where he was born 21 years ago.
He began to make himself a name in the Buenos Aires underground scene, taking part in respected events at places like Club Buenos Aires, John John (Deep Down & Dirty), Novecento, El Dorado (Buenos Beats), y MaxXximo Bar, among others, sharing the booth with another renowed Buenos Aires DJs such as Facu Carri, Vidart, and Digitaux.
In 2004, Lucas Abadi was part of the line up of the first Kunt party of the year, a well-known event in the underground electronic circuit of Buenos Aires. Lucas mixed in the mainfloor, for more than 1200 people.
In late 2004, he got the great opportunity to play regularly at the terrace of the legendary club Pacha. These events are called B-Side, and they take place twice a month at the famous club, with more than 2000 people in every ocasion.
His latest performances took place at Mint Lounge, another legendary club in the house scene since its beginnings as El Cielo, in the early 90s; the Shamrock basement; Cobra (formerly Animal); Mao Room; Superclub@Club Araoz, along djs such as Aad (16 Bit Lolitas), Stephane K, Tom Neville, Kosmas Epsilon, Paul Rogers, Guy Gerber, Jody Wisternoff (from Way Out West), and Greg Vickers, to name a few, and at 2005 B-Side parties, and Nokia Trends at Pacha. In november 2005, he made his debut at Warung Beach Club (Camboriu, Brazil) canned by DJ Mag as one the best clubs in the world, along Danny Howells and Ashley Caselle.
In 2006, he already played at D-Edge (Sao Paulo); the festival RBK Tops (Rio de Janeiro), with Josh Wink, King Unique, and Behrouz and Ricky Ryan; and at Claro Subvisions (Porto Alegre) with Lutzenkirchen.
In the end of 2005 he was named by Desyn Masiello as a ?DJ that will breakthrough in 2006? in the last edition of DJ Mag.
His name began to grow in Brazil in 2006, establishing himself as one of the main argentinian revelations throughout the months. His frequent gigs in the country lead to a residency in Warung, playing regularly on the terrace during the summer of 2007.
His talent and ear to find hidden gems didn?t pass unnoticed fon canadian DJ & producer Luke Fair, who called Lucas to be the A&R for Electraluxe Records later the same year.
His blend of house, electro, disco, funk, tech and prog textures, converges in a sound not easy to clasify, deep and hypnotic for a moment, and detonating and plain mad for others.
